"Spinetoram, a new generation of macrolide antibiotics, is chemically semi-synthesized from the secondary metabolite of Saccharopolyspora spinosa. As a broad-spectrum insecticide, spinetoram is primarily used for the prevention and control of plant diseases and pests in agricultural crops, fruit trees, vegetables, and more. It can effectively control the troublesome pests on fruit trees and nuts, particularly codling moth. Furthermore, its activity against pests such as the western cherry fruit fly, thrips, and leaf beetles surpasses that of first-generation product. Due to its excellent characteristics of high efficiency, low toxicity, and low residue, spinetoram was awarded the "US Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge Award" in 2008.

Spinetoram | C42H69NO10 | 187166-40-1 | / | insecticidal activity |
Effectiveness:
Unique insecticidal mechanism: Spinetoram acts on the nervous system of insects (nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and γ-aminobutyric acid receptors), possessing contact-killing and stomach-poisoning effects.
Broad-spectrum: a wide range of pests including lepidoptera larvae, thrips, leaf miners, diamondback moth, beet armyworms, and spodoptera litura, with significant efficacy on thrips and diamondback moth.
